Frequently asked questions

You can enter the Newent Aquathlon from 1st December 2016 via Entry Central. Entries can only be taken online.

Entrants must be 15 years of age on race day.

Under 18 (15-18)
Junior (18-25)
Open (26-39)
Vet (40-49)
Supervet (50-59)
Vintage (60+)

Age groups can be dependent on the amount of entrants. Please check on race day.

Registration will be open from 09:00. You should register no later than 15 minutes before the race start time at 10:00.

Registration will be located in the Gymnasium at Newent Leisure Centre. Signs will be in place giving directions.

Parking will be available in the school car park and on the playing field. It will be clearly marked and parking marshall’s will be in attendance. DO NOT PARK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN WATERY LANE.

There will be a final briefing given to you in the start area on the playing field 10 minutes before the mass start. If you have any questions before this time please ask at Registration. It is important however that you take time to read all the information that is available on the website.

There are a large number of lockers both in the poolside and dry side changing rooms. Lockers operate using a £1 coin.

As a competitor it is your responsibility to read the TERMS AND CONDITIONS of entry. Prior to the race, ensure you understand the courses.

Results will be available within 30 minutes of the last competitor finishing the course. They will also be posted on to our website as soon as possible after the race.

Prize giving will take place in the Sports Hall or outside, weather dependent, 30 minutes after the last competitor has finished.

Please direct any queries you have on race day to our Race Director,  any marshal or our race referee.

If this is your first Aquathlon then the most important thing is to have fun.  You can expect to be competing for less than one hour.

This would only happen in exceptional circumstances if there was concern over your health or safety for any reason. Any such decision would only be made by the Race Director in consultation with the Race Referee.
