2012 TTG Gloucester Triathlon

The 2012 TTG Gloucester Triathlon is now open for entries.

The 2012 TTG Gloucester Triathlon will take place on the 27th May 2012. Entries are now open.

Tri Team Glos' annual Gloucester Triathlon is a fantastic early season sprint distance to get your race season off to a flying start.

Established for over 10 years, it is widely recognised as one of the best local triathlons.  We are well-organised with great facilities, a fast course and plenty of friendly and helpful marshals.

Our race is chip-timed and we have trade stands, a good-quality food van and a team of sports massage therapists for pre- and post-race treatments.

We are restricted to 220 places and we have been oversubscribed every year for the past five years, so enter early to avoid disappointment.  Some feedback from previous years:

Team entry

This year we would like to invite teams to enter our event. A team will consist of three individuals completing each leg of the event, swim, bike and run, handing your timing chip to the next person in the relay within transition. We hope this will be a welcome addition to the event. Please note, only the team captain needs to enter the event.

BTF license

A valid BTF license must be presented on race day by all athletes or you will be charged regardless of whether you are a member or not. If athletes are not British Triathlon Federation (BTF) members, they are required to purchase a day membership to take part in BTF registered events. A BTF Day Membership provides non BTF members with civil liability and personal accident insurance cover during the event and confirms their agreement to abide by the conditions of membership and rules of the BTF, details of which are published on www.britishtriathlon.org. The cost of BTF Day Membership for this event is £3.00 per athlete which must be paid at registration. Teams with members who are not fully paid up members of the BTF are also required to purchase a day membership.

• I will cycle and run with due care and attention and agree to abide by the rules of the road and wear an approved helmet while cycling
• I am in good health and participate at my own risk

TTG members are invited to enter our races as long as they provide a suitable (for example, over the age of 17 and preferably someone who has race experience) non TTG marshal on the day of the race. However, if the marshal does not turn up on the day of the race you will be expected to marshal in their place and therefore not allowed to race.
