Tri Team Glos - The Triathlon Club of Gloucestershire

Race action...

Congratulations to Chris Balodis for completing the Toshiba Windsor Triathlon 2011 yesterday in a time of 02:57:55 in what must have been horrible conditions to be racing. Also racing yesterday were Sally Poll, Matt Boon, Rod Gravette, Rob Wood and Steve French at the RNLI 3.8km Long Swim, all posting very respectable times.

Upcoming action

This weekend see's the annual running of the Dambuster Triathlon in which Simon High and Richard Read look to be racing, although I know Richard is carrying an injury at present, here's hoping Richard recovers in time.

Also this weekend, good luck to those racing at the Ironman UK 70.3. The very first 70.3 race to ever exist, this Exmoor event has now taken on an iconic status and fills to capacity each and every year as its reputation as being the 'toughest 70.3 in the world' (according to Macca!) grows and grows.

As far as I am aware, Malcolm Smith (M50-54) will be looking to better his time from last year and David Pearce (M30-34) will be competing for the first time at the course, and I think I'm right in saying the distance. I have shed many a tear on that course!

Please let us know if you are racing so we can post some results.

Update

South Cerney Triathlon

Some fantastic results over at South Cerney on Saturday, Garry Hughes was home first with an impressive 02:34 gap between him and his nearest competitor. Closely followed by Matt Boon, Anthony Lake, David Nield, Rod Gravette, Paul Yeatman, Janice Walmsley and Angela Collorick-brush.

Well done to all...
