Tri Team Glos Summer Event

Friday 20th August 2010 – Carswalls Farm at 7.00pm – 10.30pm

Location: Carswalls Farm, (by kind permission of Roger and Jo Carter), is located approximately one mile (towards Newent), from Upleadon crossroads. Suggest approach either from A417 (turn left at crossroads just prior to Staunton and Corse village hall – straight on at Upleadon crossroads. Or alternatively (off B4215 to Newent) branch right at Highleadon and then left at Upleadon crossroads.

Please park in field as signed – Entrance will be sign posted

Duathlon Ladies - COMPETING FOR THE ‘PRESIDENT’S PLATE’

Duathlon - 1 Mile Run/ 6 Mile Bike/ 1.7 Mile Run (Distances are approx.) – Start 7.30pm PROMPT

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO FADING LIGHT, RACE START WILL NOT BE DELAYED

Strictly closed to current Club members only……… Entry Fee - £4.00 (No BTA refund!).

Both runs will be around farm fields. The corners will be marked with tape and you must run around the outside of this. Other rules will be explained at the briefing on the night. As usual handicapping (using the famous Bill handicapping system!!), will be made. No appeals under any circumstances.

The bike course is ‘out and back’. There is a right turn out of the field entrance, which will be marshalled. Mount after crossing the road at the field exit, and dismount on the road prior to the field entrance. The bike course is flat except for one ‘lump’. The route is straightforward and will be simply signed – the turn around point will be marshalled. Normal rules apply – i.e. Helmets must be worn on the bike course, and must be fastened before ‘un-racking’ bike and remain fastened until bike is ‘re-racked’. Racking will be provided, courtesy of EASYRACK.

An Entry Form is attached – please complete and return to me as soon as possible together with the entry fee. Cheques made payable to Tri-Team Glos. The idea is to allow as many members to participate as possible – ‘organisers’ will probably be restricted to me and Jackie – so give us a chance and get your entry in as soon as possible. BBQ & Fun – FOOD IS FREE AGAIN THIS YEAR – ALL YOU CAN EAT FOR NOWT!!!

We will be providing a simple Bar BQ – burgers, sausages, veggie burgers & salads.

BBQ will be in a DRY barn in the case of wet weather

Drinks

We will not be providing any drinks – please bring your own. Beware – Roger may have some of his home made scrumpy cider on offer!!!!
